Tonight's feature, THE FRIGHTENERS from Oscar winner Peter Jackson (THE LORD OF THE RINGS, KING KONG), was originally envisioned as a TALES FROM THE CRYPT feature film release, but executive producer Robert Zemeckis (BACK TO THE FUTURE, WHAT LIES BENEATH) thought it was good enough to stand on its own merits. Starring the one and only Michael J. Fox (BACK TO THE FUTURE, FAMILY TIES) as psychic con man Frank Bannister, THE FRIGHTENERS is some of the most fun you'll ever have being scared. The excellent supporting cast includes Trini Alvorado (LITTLE WOMEN), Jefrey Combs (REANIMATOR), JAKE BUSEY (STARSHIP TROOPERS) and Dee Wallace Stone (ET: THE EXTRA TERRESTRIAL).
