AHS: 1984 Red Dawn (2019)
Tuesday Oct 22, 2019
Tuesday Oct 22, 2019
American Horror Story, the long running horror anthology series from creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk is in its ninth season on the FX Network and Dan and Faith are continuing their season long watch 1984, the newest installment.
Red Dawn, the newest episode, answers as many questions as it raises. We are at the halfway point, and our hard working hosts have no idea where this thing is going! However, they are absolutely certain that they are on Team Montana, portrayed by the wonderfully wicked Billie Lourd, and think Matthew Morrison’s Trevor Kirschner is the best character on the show.
Pour yourself a cup of coffee, put your feet up and tune in for speculation, analysis, rad 80s hair and a whole lot of fun!

Tuesday Oct 22, 2019
In 1982, filmmaker George A. Romero (Night Of The Living Dead) and author Stephen King (IT, Carrie, The Shining), the masters of terror and the macabre, gave us Creepshow, a horror anthology film inspired by the classic EC Comics of the 1950s and it was the most fun we ever had being scared. In 2019, under the guiding hand of executive producer Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead), Creepshow is back as a six week series streaming exclusively on Shudder.
This week’s episode includes the stories The Companion, written by Matt Venne (Masters of Horror, Bag Of Bones) from a short story by Joe, Kasey and Keith Lansdale and directed by David Bruckner (The Signal, V/H/S) and Lydia Layne’s Better Half starring Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica), written by John Harrison (Tales From The Crypt, Tales From The Darkside) and directed by Roxanne Benjamin.

True Detective: The Long Bright Dark (2014)
Monday Oct 21, 2019
Monday Oct 21, 2019
On January 3rd, 1995, just outside of Erath, Louisiana, Rustin Cohle and Martin Hart, begin investigating the murder of prostitute Dora Lange. Lange’s body is found nude and posed in prayer, with deer antlers atop her head and a spiral symbol drawn on her back. Twig latticeworks surround her body.
This is how HBO’s award winning series TRUE DETECTIVE, from creator Nic Pizzolato begins. Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson star as Cohle and Hart, the two Louisiana homicide detectives that go on a seventeen year journey down a rabbit hole that leads to a wide spread, multi generational conspiracy that involves the elites in positions of power from the state legislature to the local church.
“The Long Bright Dark”, written by Pizzolato and directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, premiered on January 12th, 2014. Join Dan and Faith of The Late Night Fright as they journey back to the beginning of this landmark show to examine the clues and dig deeper into the themes, symbolism, and characters of this engrossing nonlinear narrative.
Can you taste the psychosphere? Tune in each Monday to the Late Night Fright for a look back at each episode from True Detective’s first season.
