A rocket crashes into the sea off the coast of Sicily. The doomed expedition had just been to Venus and back. Its crew is (mostly) dead. A child finds a capsule containing a specimen that will soon grow into a rampaging beast that will terrorize Rome.
It could only come from the 50s.
It could only come from Ray Harryhausen and producer Charles Schneer.
It could only be 20 MILLION MILES TO EARTH!
Pour yourself a cup of coffee, put your feet up and get ready to howl at the moon as your horror hosts, Dan and Faith, take a look back at the classic 1957 creature feature that introduced audiences around the world to the Ymir, a Venusian creature with a mind for sulphur and rampaging. The story and effects are by the legendary Ray Harryhausen (JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS, CLASH OF THE TITANS). William Hopper (PERRY MASON) and Joan Taylor (EARTH VS. THE FLYING SAUCERS) co-star, but the creature is the real feature of this feature and what a featured creature he is!
